Concerns - I am increasingly dyslexic

Just noticed in my prior postings that in spite of my checking and reviewing what I type, I am still making mistakes where I omit certain words I had run through my head and had intended to include.

Needless to say, I am concerned about it.

Hi Chee Wai, does this mean that you will be staying longer in the USA than projected? Either way, I might not have told you this, but I am leaving academia in 2014 to do something else, but I am leaving Singapore permanently from now on.

I plan on staying as long as I am able to. Right now, given the funding situation, I do not know if that will happen. Working on it :).

Good luck on your plans! I had been following your blog but I didn't realize you are going to leave academia. Hope everything is well!

Hey Chee Wai, I never really disclose that much on my blog anymore, partially because I want to limit things like plans to those closest friends of mine and family. Leaving Singapore permanently has however been on my books, since 2005, and I just made it permanent with a decision and its final declaration on Facebook.
It is definitely a good choice, even if I end up roaming the earth in search of a new home!

Best of luck, Kevin! Hopefully, you'll find a good place to settle down!

Thanks, Chee Wai. I am not sure if I ever told you this before, but for me, my life in Singapore back when I grew up till I left it was very much informed by the narrative of the Israelites being led out of Egypt. Singapore will always be the spiritual Egypt which God led me out of, the spiritual Sodom and Gomorrah which will fall one day or fade away from my life no matter what. I don't know what your sentiments towards that country are, but as far as it goes, it's not for everyone.
